Relationships Shape How We Grow in our Faith

Life Groups are more than just the idea of a classroom setting. We believe growing in our faith is much more than an intellectual experience. Through relationships and connecting with others, our Life Groups form the community of our church.

We go through life together. It is where friendships are born, where laughter and tears are shared, and through this growth, these life challenges are prayed over and experienced together. In these dynamic relationships, we not only learn about God, but the experiences we share including Bible study, form a tightly-woven tapestry of relationships that will last for eternity.

Since our Grey Stone Family includes a variety of people in all walks of life, we have many Life Group options. There are groups for every age and stage of life to suit the needs of our diverse family. All groups are open to all and cover a variety of resources for Biblical literacy, spiritual growth, and tackle real-life applications!

2020 has been tough! We’re so divided along Party lines, Economic lines, and now especially, Racial lines. That division has crept into some of our churches too. But God did not design the church to be that way.

We should be UN-Divided! As a member of this study, you’ll gain free access to video content in a private online study community, and exclusive bonus content! Join Pastors J.D. Grear and Dhati Lewis in these 5 discussions about having a gospel community (presented by the North American Mission Board).

My one word

Mike Ashcroft

A new year brings new «resolutions.’» But the problem is we rarely follow through on them. “My One Word” is an experiment designed to move you from resolutions to focus by picking ONE WORD.Mike Ashcroft has been challenging his church members to focus on one way that they would like to grow through the course of the year, and it has come with amazing results. Now he brings that same challenge to you in One Word, a 3-session, video-based challenge. This year, lose the long list of resolutions and find lasting change by spending an entire year focusing on just one thing that you most hope God will do in you.

Our resolutions seldom work because they are based on the type of person we’re tired of being rather than who God wants us to become. Plus, resolutions can be “broken,” leaving no room for the process of growth. What if our hopes for the year ahead centered instead on who God wants us to become, and the transformation process? It’s okay to want to be a better you, and the New Year is a natural time to start. The question is, how? My One Word replaces broken promises with a vision for real change. When you choose a single word, you have a clarity and focus. You are moving toward the future rather than swearing off the past.

get your life back

John Eldredge

We live in soul-scorching times. The 24-7 onslaught of contemporary life—with its never-ending feed of global tragedies, demands for our attention, and pressures of work, family, and friends—has left us feeling ragged, wrung-out, and emptied. But if we have no margin in our lives, how do we find room to change anything? In this life-changing video Bible study, John Eldredge distills a lifetime of wisdom into five practical and ready-to-implement practices for putting your life back together.

These practices include: (1) the one-minute pause, (2) benevolent detachment, (3) practicing kindness, (4) getting outside, and (5) stepping back from technology. These practices will enable you to begin recovery, focus on what matters most, disengage from the tragedies of this broken world, and discover the restorative power of beauty. You don't need to abandon your life to get it back. You can restore it here and now. And you will never be the same.
